An RCN-funded joint project between Simula UiB and DNV Cyber for facilitating the PQC migration in Norway.
How to get started on the PQC migration
Many people are already aware that quantum computers threaten the cryptography we rely on for digital security. In 5-10 years time, it will be mandatory to have moved completely to post-quantum cryptography (PQC). So we need to replace vulnerable cryptography with PQC alternatives, but how should you start this task in your own organisation? The objective of NorPQC is precisely to help Norwegian organisations get started on the PQC migration process and develop a strategy for completing it.
The NorPQC project has now hosted three one-day workshops for IT professionals with a role in facilitating the transition to post-quantum cryptography within their organisation. The workshops provided training on these topics:
- Risk assessment of the data you handle in light of the threat from quantum computers
- How to discover and map all cryptography in use in your IT systems
- Selecting the correct PQC alternatives and where they should replace existing cryptography
- Creating a plan for doing the actual replacements, with minimal impact on your daily business
